DanceTalk101 is a site where you can learn about dance, move and engage in conversations about DANCE. We have a passion for dance and we want to share it with You!
The episodes and accompanying activities are designed to introduce students in middle school, high school and onward to think about dance and try various aspects of movement. We believe dance is for EVERYONE and we are making it fun and accessible to anyone who is interested in learning about dance as an artistic form of self expression!

Here you will find all lessons with accompanying movement activities for your students. Use these as a jumping-off point for your lesson plans in the studio or online. We cover everything from the foundation of “what is dance?” to elements, styles and choreographic tools. Dive in!
Our Vision
As continuing dance educators and artists, our team was inspired to create a platform where dance can be discussed from varying viewpoints and places of experience. We honor all types of dance and movement and strive to encourage learning and exchange across styles and through different lenses. We want to support dance educators in providing them with fun and thought-provoking lesson ideas. We are here for you!
Our Team
